    it kinda is when it comes to speech, I'm not even talking about that words are similar or sth but it's about how it sounds. Cyrillic would be the biggest problem but yeah

    as far as I know byelorussian and ukrainian are even closer to polish. I can also have a conversation wih czech and slovaks, hungarians and even most of balkan countries speaking our native languages and I can understand more than 50% of that

    Yeah, Byelorussians and ukrainian are way closer for you, than Russian. I know russian and can easily understand belarussian, ukrainian, sometimes polish and czech.
