    "NiKo didn't kick Karrigan"
    i am?|?

twitter.com/dekay/status/132914301801678.. I guess it's just pure coincidence that FaZe started talking to Karrigan the second NiKo wasn't around anymore

They would have gotten Karrigan sooner if it was true that NiKo didn't want to be the IGL and that he wasn't the one who decided Karrigan should get kicked

Guardian said it was a team decision, and Karrigan said in his last months with faze he was stressed and the coach didn't help him, so he dropped the ball. so the move was logical (Astralis did the same to Karrigan)

That's a fair point but I still think it's unlikely NiKo wasn't at least a driving force behind the kick since it looks like he was the reason why FaZe didn't try to get Karrigan earlier

it logical to assume that niko has something to do with it but it wasn't all niko, another point is people don't blame YNK (which is strange) se was the coach of 2 failure projects, faze and MIBR

To be fair it's hard to have impact when you're coaching two of the most uncoachable teams in history. FaZe - The IGL is someone who famously has a high ego and even apparently was a driving force in kicking their previous IGL. MIBR - Just like NiKo, this team seem to be people who just like to do what they want. Why do you think they played for so long without a coach? (2016-2018).

I think coaching fallen is even harder than coaching a team of 5 NiKos
    2020-11-19 17:18
As a coach you should shut them up like MaleK would do, and make them work as a team mate. You are a coach, not his girlfriend.

As the coach you are literally the one who leads the team outside and sometimes inside the game. If a player doesnt want to listen/needs help, you as a coach HAVE to help him, and thats where YNK failed. Its not about ego, is about being a real leader and not a beta.

    2020-11-20 13:44
NiKo was a driving force. It just looks too suspicious for it all to be coincidence. There's also the fact that you shouldn't necessarily take everything pros say as fact and instead look at the actions and evidence. Actions speak louder than words.
    2020-11-20 17:25
Funny you should say that when NiKo and YNk are friends that go way back.

All the evidence is there to say it was pretty much just NiKo.

Exactly, so it's true that he thought he was overrated. Also, no shit he thought about the answer, he even said he doesn't want to go too deep into it.
    2020-11-20 17:12
What do you mean? Loads of people have been blaming YNK for their lack of progress, however, you really can't fault the coach for all the illogical mid round calls NiKo made while being the igl. As for the question who was actually in charge of the team and had the last say in their confusing roster moves, I'd care to bet on it being a joint effort by the two.

Because there's no reason for them to call NiKo a liar, especially if they're currently playing with him. I don't think it's a massive reach to assume NiKo had more power in the team than the other players did

i agree on that he probably has had more say in the team as he was the main star but still they all stand by "teams decision" so i guess we can just leave it at that right?

The bottom line is that if you ignore what the players have said and only focus on what they and FaZe have actually done, it looks a lot like NiKo was the main reason why Karrigan got kicked
    2020-11-19 17:43
    4 replies
But then you go back to 2018 and you see that not only they agreed on not listening Karrigan but also wanted to make Niko IGL, and this can be proven not too long ago where Niko wanted to drop the IGL role and no one in the team wanted to take it so he had to IGL even when he didnt want to. Mate, stop being delusional and blaming everything on NiKo, it was a team's decision, if the team hadnt agreed all together, this wouldnt have happened regardless of the one thinking this. Edit: When I said that it could be proven, means that when they wanted to make Niko IGL back in 2018, no one wanted to IGL so they decided to make NiKo call back then, and the same happened nowadays.

Why didn't FaZe try to re-sign Karrigan earlier if NiKo wanted to stop IGLing?
    2020-11-20 14:31
    2 replies
Because Karrigan has a 2 year contract with Mouz which will end in march of NEXT YEAR, and Faze wanted an IGL NOW. If you could ever search up the data you talk about would be nice, but just so you know, NiKo and KarrigaN even had a banter between the two of them, and even if they have a "bad relationship" between them(which i doubt), it has nothing to do with the contract Karrigan has with mouz of 2 years, I doubt that his buy-out will be cheap, and Faze didnt want to spend a penny on any player, thats one of the most probable reasons why they couldnt get ALEX and instead looked for a free agent.

Here's a fun fact for you, FaZe started talking to Karrigan around September which was around 6 months before his contract expires. So, Why didn't FaZe try to re-sign Karrigan earlier if NiKo wanted to stop IGLing?

You are literally assuming something. Did you actually watch the video where NiKo says "Karrigan is overrated" or atleast the context? If so, then you should know that NiKo literally said: "At the end of his career he was overrated" rather than "he was overrated". Stop hating on NiKo based on assumptions, you are literally being hypocretical.

The reason why people start to question the igl is because their strats dont work anymore. Karrigan was making bad calls a lot of the time in Faze before he got kicked, and thats why people stopped trusting in his calls

He stayed for long enough but you guys threw bullshit on him for that. Now that he left , gave FaZe a shit ton of money to rebuild the team , which is why they are getting karrigan and ropz , people are still throwing bullshit his way. He pretty much fixed 2 teams with this move , the only bad thing that came out of NiKo leaving FaZe is the deduction of RMR points which won't qualify them for the major.

I don't know who te believe. According to NIko the team asked him to IGL , I'm pretty sure someone from FaZe or karrigan would deny the claim if it was false. He tried with different IGLs , apperently he was told not to pick up aleksi and the deal with alex fell through. NEO was there for a short period of time as well. And seing how cold is taking the iniciative in FaZe rn it is likely that NiKo had to make all the decission since the menagment is garbage and no one else had the balls to seeing how everyone missunderstood what niko did and gave him shit. But still props to cold for trying to bring karrigan back.

More money? Maybe he dosn’t like the mouz management. It might be reasons we can’t know, and honestly Faze seems to play better than mouz rn, although I don’t expect that to last.

I don't think so.NiKo for sure played a part but if the team was opposed to it they could have voted for karrigan to stay and he would. It's not like NiKo was the one stoppong a transfer. We all know FaZe is cheap and won't throw money on players and with NiKO being sold to g2 they for sure got some big stacks. And tbf karrigan is an obvious choise. He is friends with rain still and as per sources he will be bringing a player with him , ropz most likely. And with mouz's results I can see why karrigan would jump the ship.

yeah he prb have some influence in there but it shouldnt be too much. it would be insane if karrigan somehow bring ropz with him, and i feel for chrisJ, the only og of mouz after all these years
    2020-11-19 08:26
According to Dekay FaZe wants to wait for Karrigan's contract to end and then sign him for free so it doesn't seem like getting NiKo's buyout money was a factor

Will they get ropz for free as well ? If yes than that's a robery by FaZe and probably the best transfer of 2021.

There's a Brazilian article that claimed Coldzera was the one who started asking for Karrigan. NiKo suffers from the Dunning-Kruger effect in terms of IGL's. He doesn't rate Karrigan, AleksiB, or MSL as good IGL's, but does rate 2018 Xizt as well as 2019 AdreN and Neo. When it comes to IGL's, NiKo just sees 'this guy won a major so I must rim him'.

imagine bringing up MSL LOL Karrigan has a few month shelf life, Faze were shit with him for months and just look at Mouz now. The scene is lacking IGLs but blame Niko for refusing to pick up washed IGLs

MSL has never had the 'world class' talent to win majors, but for the most part, he has done the best with the pieces he had. Karrigan has built trophy-winning teams 3 times. More than any other IGL, and that speaks for itself. Sure, the scene is lacking IGLs, but the only people NiKo picked up were Xizt, AdreN, and Neo. Some of the most worst IGLs (asides from NiKo himself) who have ever played in big tournaments.

MSL hasnt had the world class talent LOL I think you need to go and check that statement out again. He has had some of the best Danish talent in the world. Karrigan affect is real, few good month and then his teams are dead.

MSL hasn't consistently had enough world class talent to win majors/ big tournaments. He's had 1 or 2 of the following star players at a time at most, and they all get taken by other squads quickly. Asides from 1/2 good players, he'd mostly have shitters like Mertz, CajunB, JuGi etc. You can't do much with up to 2 good players and an ensemble of trash. - Aizy is essentially the EU Flamie, he's never been consistently good after 2015. - Kjaerbye was for sure a star player, but the roles he asked for in North were never ones he was particularly suited for. At his best, kjaerbye is playing aggressive roles, not lurking. - Valde was just a god tbf, wasted years of his career in a team like North with teammates like cajunB, gade, and aizy. - K0nfig was a similar story to Valde, but his attitude ended up holding him back. - Magisk has moments of looking good in North, but nothing spectacular. Karrigan had a good 2 years with the core of TSM. Karrigan had a good year+ with FaZe. Mous was certainly good for a few months at the end of 2019, but then we were all hit by a pandemic, with all teams struggling to find form. Mous with woxic was a LAN team and struggled adapting to being online. Even when Karrigan teams weren't top 1, they were always a good contender and consistently made playoffs of tournaments.

you do realise MSL is the guy who is picking and dropping these players right? he has had more than enough talent to challenge for any event if hes a so called good IGL like you are saying. How can you say players like Magisk, Valde and k0nfig are not enough to win Majors LOL any IGL in the world would take those 3. Then hes had Niko who is a solid player and doing great for Heroic, Kjaerbye a Major MVP. MSL could be the most overrated IGL of all time. Cadian has built a better team in a few month than MSL has in 3 year

MSL has had at MOST 2 of the aforementioned players at any given time. He's not a good fragger by any means, so most of his lineups have consisted of a 1/2 stars and 3 professional bottom fraggers. He's a good IGL because even in spite of how shit 3/4 members of the squad are at any given time, he's still managed to keep North a relevant team, never dropping outside of the top 30 for over 3 years.
    2020-11-20 13:49
    should bring ropz with him
    2020-11-19 17:24
Fuck Snako, would be dope if Karrigan joins again and takes ropz with him. They'd fuck G2 in their matches.

I'm not that arsed with fucking G2 or NiKo for that matter. I just want to see a good FaZe clan again. Watching that first line-up with Karrigan, NiKo, Olof, Guardian and Rain was great. I hope they can build something similar again.
