    If Biden wins...

If Biden wins, I am fairly confident you wont have another republican president for the next 20+ years. Democrats try to win elections by increasing immigration to swing states. The longer time goes on and the laxer immigration laws are, the less likely it is swing states will go republican and therefore elections will be incredibly unlikely to be won by the GOP. Or am I missing sth?

But Germans are white, so you can not entrap them with the "the GOP is racist and hates you" narrative. I feel like many minorities feel like they do not have a choice but to vote Dem, because of the narrative they are pushing.

I think it's easier to convince Hispanics of voting republicans than Germans
    2020-11-06 00:02
The Republican party literally shoots themselves in the foot. They take very dumb anti-group messages that cost them votes. Muslims, Hispanics, Jews, gays, etc. have no choice but to vote Democrat because the Republican party has taken stances against these people. Lots of people in those voter bases are conservative but can't vote Republican because they literally hate them.

The fact that you are associating Jews with Israel shows you are anti-Semitic. The Republican party has rampant anti-Semitism within its base. This is why Jews majority vote Democrat and have for a long time.

idk, they are going to get 4 years under Biden. Senate majority remains Republican, and in the House they lost key seats which they flipped in 2018 plus failed to flip weak republican seats (Dems still hold majority in the House of reps, but barely so). Let's be realistic here, Biden can't run in 4 years. He will be 82 and he is already showing clear signs of Alzheimers. He will not achieve much in the next 4 years, as the senate will block him. The Republicans will have a field day with it on the next elections, especially if the economy sinks. Republicans always have someone to blame, even when they have the presidency (Nancy Pelosi), the democrats don't. Who will they blame in 4 years? If they are smart, they will make Mitch McConnell to look like the devil himself. But yeah, democrats (as a party) aren't very smart.

President is just an actor so it does not matter if he has Alzheimer or not. As long as he looks good and stands straight he should be OK.

    2020-11-06 00:01
It does not matter as long as the demographics are in your favor. You could make a literal child run for the Dems and many minorities would probably still choose the child over any republican candidate. That is just how things are and the more the demographics shift, the harder it gets for the Republicans.

I think liberalism will grow for sure... I mean just look at Texas for example. Though it didn't go blue this time, it's likely to within 20 years. I suppose it depends on how biden does or who is the candidate after him. Just remember that people for the most part liked Obama and yet got Trump after.

America isnt going to fall anytime soon if they are still in some control of the mega corporations. As many countries make billions and billions off of them if US takes that away its just completely over. China's economy has a decent amount of dependency on manufacturing frmo those ultra giant companies

You're right, it will be a slow painful death. America has been in decline for a few decades now. We've outsourced all of our manufacturing and that's only going to get worse under the Biden administration.

Manufacturing jobs are not coming back in the traditional sense, regardless of who sits in the oval office. Manufacturing is moving back to developed countries simply because it's becoming cheaper to get robots to do these jobs than using manual labor in developing countries I, for one, welcome our robot overlords.

California was "ruined" by liberalism yet is the state with the largest population and largest GDP in the country by some distance. Red bible belt state should consider themselves lucky there are blue states "ruined" by liberalism subsidizing them. California, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, etc. pay the federal government more in taxes than they receive in return. While places like Alabama, Mississippi, West Virginia, etc. depend on federal aid and contribute to the deficit. If this country broke up into two, Red US vs Blue US it's immediately obvious who would struggle more to keep the lights on.

California's GDP is impressive but the amount of homeless and the cost of housing is through the roof.

Cost of housing is through the roof because that's where people want to live. There are more homeless are in Cali because it's simply easier to be homeless in Cali. Better weather (you don't want to be homeless in Alaskan winter) and there is better welfare. Many of the homeless who now live in Cali come from all over the country, sometimes given a one-way bus ticket by municipalities who don't want them there.

You would have a point if the homeless were actually all from Cali. The reality is many are sent to Cali from all over the country because they can't or won't cope with their homeless problem.

If there wasn't support for them, they'd leave. I live in a smaller liberal city and yet it's packed with homeless because of the welfare programs available. They actually travel from other cities to be here and to get the government assistance. Neighboring cities have even gotten in trouble for buying one way tickets for their homeless to come here.
    2020-11-06 05:05

Are you suggesting everyone just scrap their programs to assist the homeless, and leave them to their own devices? You want a society where we don't care for the less fortunate?
    2020-11-06 06:37
That is simply an unfair comparison because obviously coastal states have it a lot easier to im and export goods and therefore are a lot more profitable. Let's say that republican policies truly are bad for the economy, even if Wyoming voted Dems for the next 50 years and New York GOP, there is no way in hell, that they would surpass New York.

These dynamics can change very quickly. Many, many more Latinos and blacks voted for Trump in this election than they did in the last one. Don't forget that there is a reason there are millions of Cubans and Venezuelans in the US.

you are missing something, Under the Obama/Biden admin, they deported the most people in USA history, creating those border cages and causing massive stress on Latino immigration. There has been an increasing amount of POCs voting for the republican party, Cubans and Venizulians to be specific.
    2020-11-06 05:12
If US keeps on changing presidential parties/propaganda each time, we're in for a lot more crazy things happening. I wonder if US will still be the most powerful country.
    2020-11-06 05:42
I mean we have historically high black men vote and hispanic vote the political landscape in the US is changing once they can't complain about the personality of the republican candidate and they have to debate policy we'll be good

    thanks again germans :)
    2020-11-06 05:54
High time the US put a stop to immigration...its the biggest bane on the planet right now...soon once job scarcity and overpopulation sets in I think they will realise their folly
    2020-11-06 05:57
That might not necessarily be true though because Latino Americans share a lot of similar values with white conservative Americans. So long term an increasing Latino population could be good for republicans and this election made that more apparent.
    2020-11-06 06:18
You might be right but idk, after 4 years of trump, this election seems closer than it should have been and I think that's partially the democratic parties fault. I feel like if covid didn't happen, the election would have been even closer and that's just not good.
